AdminiTrust seeks an experienced Program Director to play a central role in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the diverse program areas and initiatives of the May and Stanley Smith Charitable Trust.

Located in Sausalito, California, AdminiTrust provides administrative and management services to private foundations, and currently manages the portfolios of two foundations providing grants internationally totaling $12 million annually, one of which is the May and Stanley Smith Charitable Trust (the “Trust”). The Trust is governed by a three-person Board of Trustees. The financial assets of the Trust are valued at approximately $380 million. The Trust has provided over $190 million in grants since inception in 1989, including 379 grants in 2012 totaling $12 million. AdminiTrust is a small (6 persons), professionally run office that employs experienced and accomplished program officers and staff who work in an informal, team-oriented environment.

The Program Director will support the Trust, whose funding priorities focus on projects that serve children and youth, elders, the disabled, and disadvantaged adults and families, primarily in the areas of education and human services. Reporting to the Trust Administrator and managing a team of four program officers, the Program Director will be individually responsible for a grant portfolio related to discretionary grants and special initiatives. The Program Director will work closely with the Administrator to set standards for proposals, documentation, and workflows; develop and present program strategies and funding recommendations to the Trustees for approval; and evaluate the impact of various Trust programs on grantees, beneficiaries, and communities.
