InnVision Shelter Network (IVSN) is dedicated to helping homeless families and individuals in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties return to permanent housing and self-sufficiency. It is the leading provider of housing and supportive services in the area, managing 17 facilities from San Jose to Daly City. IVSN serves thousands of clients annually through its “Beyond the Bed” services, a proven model with a high success rate in returning program graduates to permanent housing and self-sufficiency. The Executive Director will provide the overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization. Supported by a strong senior leadership team and staff of 230, he/she will manage the organization’s activities, programs, fundraising, operations, and finances. The current operating budget of IVSN is $16M with approximately 65% of funding received from public entities and 35% from private funding.
The Executive Director will work closely with partner non-profit organizations and government agencies within its service area to fulfill its mission. Success will be measured by IVSN’s fiscally sound performance and high quality service to meet the changing needs of the community, and to that end, increased funding from public agencies, foundations, corporations and individuals is critical. The Executive Director will be the chief advocate and fundraiser for IVSN’s programs and operations, and is expected to speak prominently and passionately about the mission and the people served by the organization. A strong strategic mindset, and, exceptional management, operational, financial and interpersonal skills are all necessary for success in this role.
