MidPen Housing

Foster City, CA

Vice President OF SERVICES

MidPen Housing, one of the nation’s leading providers of affordable housing solutions, seeks an innovative professional to manage a strong suite of senior care, education, mental health and family service programs in Northern California. We are reaching out to the community for suggestions and nominations.

In the forty years since MidPen was founded, the organization has developed over 100 communities and 7,400 homes for low-income families, seniors and special needs individuals throughout Northern California. Located in Foster City, just south of San Francisco, the MidPen organization actually consists of three affiliated corporations: MidPen Housing, MidPen Property Management Corporation and MidPen Resident Services Corporation that work seamlessly together as an integrated unit.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Services is responsible for providing leadership for the MidPen Resident Services Corporation, setting the strategic direction for services to residents, and determining the quality and level of sustainably-provided services for over 14,000 residents living in MidPen Housing properties. The Vice President will be critical in cultivating current partnerships and developing new ones with leading service organizations, primarily in healthcare and education, and will be a credible voice and advocate for MidPen Housing on behalf of its affordable housing communities.

As member of the MidPen Executive Team, the Vice President of Services develops, implements, and evaluates the resident services program, measuring effectiveness through use of both qualitative and quantitative means. In addition to shaping and managing a $5.5M budget, the Vice President manages a team of approximately 55 Resident Services staff members who work closely with MidPen Property Management staff members to ensure programming meets the needs of the residents of each community. Most services staff work directly on-site at properties located in ten counties throughout Northern California, directly providing or coordinating delivery of resident services.

The Vice President will marshal the collective talent of Resident Services to deliver quality services in fulfillment of its mission, and expand the capacity, reach and effectiveness of Resident Services programs in a financially responsible way.
