ABI is the world’s largest and internationally most influential community of women in technology, seeking an experienced executive to:
- Lead a global movement of women technologists and their allies,
- Level the employment, leadership and board-governance playing field for women in technology, and
- Ensure that the people with the power to shape tech mirror the diversity of those who use tech.
The organization is based in Palo Alto and has an affiliate in Bangalore, has a $28m budget, 46 staff in the USA and 4 in India, 33 volunteer board members, 63 corporate partners, a community of well over 35,000 in 87 countries and 500+ university connections. While ABI is strongest in the United States (particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area), ABI’s expansion path is to focus on urban centers of technology employment and academic research worldwide. The organization will pursue its agenda through cultivation of local groups of women in technology and their supporters, and by building productive partnerships with technology-intensive businesses, educational institutions and government entities.
