Branch Services seeks a Chief Executive Officer who will continue building a sustainable organization that serves adults with IDD and autism through an individualized Self-Determination Program model. Please click to view the full position description or to nominate/apply.

Branch Services is located in Portola Valley, CA (midway between San Francisco and San Jose) and currently supports 20 individuals through residential and community-based services across two community-integrated housing types: clustered housing and independent apartments that form a community. The organization has a current capacity to support up to 24 residents, and about 20 additional community participants join Branch activities throughout the week. The service-delivery model is funded primarily through California’s Self-Determination Program, allowing for more individual choice, community integration, and for guided self-determination. P erson-centered supportive programs promote community living and participation, employment, health and wellness, independent living skills development, lifelong learning, self-advocacy and creative expression. This flexibility delivered through SDP also creates a more complex operating model. The next CEO will champion, strengthen and evolve Branch Services in alignment with these values, and will build the systems, processes, programs and financial resilience required to ensure that the model is durable, sustainable, aligned to SDP funding requirements for the State of California, and replicable.

The CEO reports to the Board of Directors, and the role requires a person with strong emotion intelligence and business management skillsets; a commitment to individualized and community-integrated programs serving those with IDD and autism; and an ability to cultivate a strong and high functioning staff team. The organization employs 49 people (35 full-time and 14 part-time) and has an operating budget for FY 2026/27 of $5.3 million. Funding is primarily through participant-directed SDP budgets authorized by Re gional Centers, with services funded through the California’s Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver. This is supplemented by privately funded program services revenue and fundraising.
