VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT
m/Oppenheim Associates is assisting Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH USA) in the search for a new Vice President of Development. For more information, please review the complete Position Description.
Located in Chicago and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of NPH USA, the Vice President of Development will directly supervise the Regional Directors across the organization’s 6 regions and will be responsible for optimizing total contributed revenue across the US. Primary responsibility for approving fundraising targets and success metrics will rest with NPH USA’s CEO and the National Board, with goals developed through strong input from the Vice President, the Regional Directors and Regional Boards. The Vice President of Development will be accountable for overall fundraising success, and will view all NPH International and NPH USA activities, program, group homes, program events, contacts and relationships as opportunities to market and raise funds for NPH.
NPH was founded in the mid-1950’s as Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters,” by Father William Wasson, an American Catholic Priest. Today, over 3,700 children annually are supported in loving, secure environments through NPH homes in Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Bolivia, and at St. Damien, the largest pediatric hospital of the Caribbean area that also delivers programs for disabled individuals. NPH USA was founded in 1965 to raise funding and other support for NPH International, and is comprised of 5 regions, each with a Regional Director who manages a small staff of development professionals.
