The Dali Museum Collection is rich in works from the artist’s entire career, with key works from every period and in every medium of his artistic activity, and now includes 96 oil paintings, including 7 of the 18 masterwork paintings by Dali, the most of any museum in the world. In addition, the museum’s holdings include many original drawings, prints, sculptures, photographs, and manuscripts, as well as extensive archival materials.

Reporting to the Executive Director, and working closely with members of the board and staff, the Director of Development will lead all fundraising efforts to meet the objectives of The Dali, including a major endowment-building campaign. Key factors contributing to the success of the Director will be the ability to collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop a unified approach to patron advancement, raise public awareness of the Dali and its programs, and to develop effective outreach and campaign strategies that connect with individual and institutional donors. As part of that effort, the Director of Development will work with his or her team to continually improve fundraising support infrastructure and ensure that the organization can respond quickly, effectively, creatively and contextually to long-term financial requirements, short-term operating needs and to donor interests and opportunities.
